That's the question that started it all. The letters we wrote in our heads but never sent. The words we kept for tomorrow, never quite knowing whether tomorrow would come.
That's where the idea of leaving messages for later came from: making sure your words arrive exactly when they need to, without depending on luck or anyone else. No middlemen. No ambiguity.
But while we were building that, we realized something deeper. A legacy isn't only messages. It's memories, stories, family recipes, personal journals, traditions that deserve to outlast the person who lived them.
So Eternalia grew. Memories organized with intention. Obituaries open to the people who were part of someone's story. Real-world plaques with a QR code that turn a marker into a doorway - not just a name and two dates, but the beginning of something that keeps going.
And along the way we found something we didn't expect. Protecting a legacy isn't only for the person leaving it. It's also for the people who stay. With time, grief shifts. What's left is tenderness. A message that arrives at the right moment can change how grief is carried. A memory kept well can answer questions when there's no one left to ask.
